KPop group BTS’ newest music video “Butter” was a huge hit around the world, with views rising to over 10 million on YouTube just 13 minutes after its release.

SOUTH Korean boyband sensation BTS is back with another all-English song, and as expected, it has become another worldwide hit.

Titled “Butter,” the pop-dance number topped over 100 regional iTunes charts including major areas such as the US, Canada, Britain, and Germany.

The song’s music video was also a huge hit around the world, with views rising to over 10 million views on YouTube just 13 minutes after its release.

To date, it has been watched over 127 million times on the streaming platform.

This meant that the K-Pop sensation broke their own record for most views in the first 24-hours of release, hitting 113 million views before midnight.

They hold the same record for their 2020 hit single “Dynamite,” which racked up 101.1 million views in only 24 hours.

Previously they also held numerous records for 24-hour views in the past for “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey, which had 74.6 million views in its first day.

BTS, consisting of RM, V, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, Jung Kook, and Jin, released “Butter” on May 21 after a series of teasers for fans to enjoy.

It is their second single to be sung solely in English after “Dynamite,” an upbeat summer song that broke records around the world.

During the song’s press conference, Jimin revealed that they want “Butter” to be a song that is easy to listen to.

He said: “You can consider it as a cute love song. We tried to put our different charms into it – whether it be cute, cheeky, or charismatic.”

BTS’ first live performance of “Butter” will be at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, where they will be performing for the fourth time.

Rapper Suga revealed that the first performance “always makes you anxious,” adding that the Billboard Awards are a “very significant, important, and meaningful stage for us.”

This year, they have four nominations including top duo/group, top song sales artist, top social artist, and top selling song.

This is the most nominations since their first nomination as top social artist in 2017.

The group is also expected to appear on American TV show “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on May 26, and a summer concert series organized by “Good Morning America” on May 28. (MO)
