After much speculation, rock band Paramore’s Hayley Williams has confirmed that the band will release a new album soon.

PARAMORE might be returning sooner than you think.

Over the last few years, Hayley Williams has been focusing on her solo career, including her 2020 debut solo album Petals for Armor and 2021 project FLOWERS for VASES/descansos.

However, earlier this week, the punk rocker posted a screengrab of a series of messages from the group’s drummer, Zac Farro.

Throughout the conversation, the pair appear to reflect on the number of albums they’ve released to date, with Williams’ caption reading: “We! are! getting oooooold!”

The image also includes a message reading “paramore 6”, suggesting that a sixth studio album could be on the way.

This project would mark the band’s first full-length release after their 2017 record After Laughter.

Earlier this year, Williams subtly teased “paramore 6” in a tweet saying: “I’m not planning on another solo album. And I’m not sure if they’d be great for Paramore. I’m ready for the next Paramore album. Let’s go.”

It comes after Williams said in February that she has no plans to make another solo record but will instead turn her focus back to Paramore.

Confusion arose when Williams shared a link to a collection of essays written by fans of her debut solo album ‘Petals For Armor‘. “Long read, especially if you’re not a fan of me/my solo album lol,” part of Williams’ comment read, to which a fan responded: “Omg I thought paramore was breaking up.”
The singer clarified that wasn’t the case by replying in a quote tweet: “lol y’all been worried about that too long. aint happening.”

Williams also announced on Twitter that Paramore is collaborating with fashion label Collina Strada for “’RIOT!’-esque” pieces benefitting closethewatergap.org for Earth Day.

In other news, Paramore is set to reissue their 2007 album ‘Riot!’ on silver vinyl this May as part of their label Fueled By Ramen’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

The band’s second studio album, which came out in June 2007, featured such songs as ‘That’s What You Get’, ‘Crushcrushcrush’ and ‘Hallelujah’.

Paramore’s last album was 2017’s ‘After Laughter‘. They’ve released five studio albums to date since 2005’s ‘All We Know Is Falling’ (NP)
