Live musical concerts are on a comeback trail after organizers of Coachella Music Festival announced that it will definitely be held next year even as other popular concerts are also scheduled this summer albeit attendees are required to be fully vaccinated and or must be negative from RT-PCR tests.

AFTER a two-year pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Coachella music festival has officially announced that it is set to return in 2022.

Organizers of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival Indio said the event will be held on April 15 to 17 and 22 to 24 of next year, according to Coachella's website.

Earlier this year, Coachella 2021 was canceled by the public health officer in Riverside County, California, after being rescheduled for April 9-11 and 16-18, 2021.

The cancelation was due to the resurgence of Covid-19 worldwide and within Riverside County.

In March of last year, Coachella 2020 was postponed from its original dates in April to October 2020 due to concerns about the coronavirus.

That June, it was canceled outright for the first time in 20 years.

Coachella 2020 was originally slated to feature Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine, and Travis Scott as headliners, with a full lineup including Lana Del Rey, Lil Uzi Vert, Thom Yorke, Run the Jewels, Danny Elfman, FKA twigs, DaBaby, 21 Savage, Caribou, Lil Nas X, and more.

Advance ticket sales for the 2022 festival start June 4 at 10 a.m. PT.

Stagecoach Festival, which is also held in Indio, announced it will return next spring too: April 29 to May 1. Fans can register on the festival's website to be alerted when an advance sale is announced.

The lineups for either festival have not been announced yet.

The news of the music festivals' return comes amid a series of comeback announcements.

Last month, organizers behind Lollapalooza, Chicago's largest music festival, announced it would be back this summer with Covid-19 vaccinations or negative tests required for all attendees. (NP)
