A Filipino store owner in Australia is grateful to Hollywood actress Natalie Portman for buying one of their dresses for her young daughter noting that it would certainly help drive up their sales which have been sluggish since the pandemic.

NATALIE Portman graced Frankie General Store in Sydney, Australia as she bought a Ta LouLou dress for her daughter, Amalia, who is four years old.

Frankie General Store is Filipino-owned. The brain behind it is Jammy San Juan-Magsino. Its local branches in the Philippines are found in SM Aura and Power Plant Mall.

Ta LouLou, on the other hand, is also founded by a Filipina named Cit Sioson.

Sioson says of the purchase of Natalie Portman, “Still in shock. Since the pandemic, it hasn’t been easy for our small business, and for so many others, but surreal moments like this remind us to keep going and most especially, to be grateful for both the highs and the lows we continue to learn from. We are immensely grateful for our small team of makers and those who continue to support us, all of whom enable us to share our story.”

She was immensely proud of how far Ta LouLou had come with the help of Frankie General Store’s Jammy.

Portman purchased one of the Lulu dresses of the brand in red. It is one of the bestsellers.

Big stars supporting small businesses this way is incredible and heartwarming.

Their random purchases will definitely boost the owners’ morale. Not only that but if big stars publicly show appreciation to particular brands, then many more people will begin to discover that brand. Immense growth will follow. (EFO)
