The 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh is now recovering from a successful procedure following a pre-existing heart condition.

THE Duke of Edinburgh is now recovering from a successful procedure following a pre-existing heart condition. The 99-year-old duke has been in the hospital for more than two weeks.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that he will remain in the hospital to recover from his procedure, and to continue getting treatment for a couple of days.

Prince Philip was first admitted to the hospital on February 16 after reportedly feeling unwell.

He was set to receive treatment for an unspecified infection at the time. By March 1, he needed to be transferred to a different hospital in central London for continued treatment.

Since being admitted to the hospital, he had only been visited by his son, Prince Charles.

After all, Queen Elizabeth is currently at high-risk of contracting COVID-19 and is much safer in the palace instead of a hospital.

During the stretch of his hospitalization, people wondered whether the duke’s health was failing.

However, Buckingham Palace continues to assure the world that he is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery.

For her part, Queen Elizabeth continues to carry out her official duties through the use of technology, while her husband is in the hospital.

Both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have received their COVID-19 vaccine doses. Like the rest of their constituents, they waited for their turn with the rest of the senior citizens to be able to get inoculated.

Once Prince Philip is out of the hospital, he and the Queen are most likely going to continue staying in Windsor until it is much safer for them to return home to Buckingham Palace (MO)
