No amount of new laws would stop hazing and other crimes but constant warnings against hazing, and the entire criminal justice system working efficiently.

Depending on a proposed law to stop a crime is naïve

Senators want to pass tougher laws against hazing. But our previous amended law is tough enough. What we need is tougher implementation. But who will do it. Fraternity brods are spread out in the justice and law enforcement, legislative and executive branches of government.

Tougher anti-hazing laws won’t work

Hazing—in schools, universities, academies and the armed organizations—should be stopped completely, through a law that would criminalize this act and outlaw the practice. Short of this we would only expect a recurrence of such barbarism and violence and the bullies or perpetrators going roaming freely waiting for their next victims.
