Minor’s body found in aftermath of “Dante’s” wrath

The number of fatalities due to “Dante” in Eastern Visayas is still being determined according to the National Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) although there were already confirmed reports of several deaths.

THE local government of Calubian, Leyte has confirmed that one of the two children reported missing after tropical storm “Dante” ravaged the province has been found.

Rescue workers found the body of Brando Salino, 7, at the sea off Barangay Padoga, which was flooded due to strong rains brought by “Dante” Wednesday (June 2).

Meanwhile, local authorities are still searching for his two-year old sibling Ruel.

The number of fatalities and casualties due to “Dante” in Eastern Visayas is still for further validation and verification, according to the National Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

The onslaught of Dante has also affected 11 roads and three bridges in Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, and Caraga. (JKA)
