President Trump tramples American pride of being the world’s icon of democracy.

Showing his macho spirit, he stirs his followers to create trouble in the Capitol to stop the proclamation of the victor in the last US elections.

I never thought this would happen in the US.

In the Philippines, this is after election drama is normal.

I am now convinced, Trump’s reelection bid was handled by a Filipino election expert.

I thought I was watching an electoral protest in our country in that attempt to take over the Capitol.

Give it to the Americans, those identified to have joined the US Capitol riot are losing their jobs. These rioters are considered as “people demonstrating dangerous conduct that endangers the health and safety of others”.

Among those who got fired was the top honcho of a data analytics firm.

The chief executive officer of the firm was kicked out from his job for participating in the riot.

Companies who employ those identified to have joined the riot are being pressured in social media to fire the troublemakers. And many already lost their jobs.

In the Philippines, these troublemakers are elected to high positions if not appointed to juicy posts in the government.

In the Dacera case, the young flight attendant who died at the first day of the year, is another example of the police force getting over excited on a high profile possible crime.

Our justice system is still working considering how our courts returned the case to the police for further investigation.

The likelihood of the situation being a group of young men partying in the new year and things turned out bad is there and no rape and murder was committed.

The first crime was committed by the hotel management, allowing guests to party in their rooms. The hotel is reported to be a quarantine hotel.

And talking of parties turning out to be violating laws should not be a stranger to the police force.

We remember that police chief who got promoted because he celebrated his birthday even when the health protocols did not allow that.

People suspect that the media hype on the Dacera case was a diversionary move by the police forces.

If that is the case, the PNP should be under the DPWH, the government agency tasked to and experts on building diversion roads.
