The audacity is reprehensible. The presumptuousness in him is beyond cure. Not even the party he so claims to belong would be spared of his greed. The raw recidivist in him has once again surfaced when, in haste, and unprovoked, introduced himself as the opposition’s standard-bearer on next year’s elections. He wouldn’t care to consider the serious implications his arrogant action will create to his party, let alone the fault it will unnecessarily affect the party’s leadership. His haste apparently has just exposed the serious weakness of the opposition – disunity. The nasty pride of Senator Antonio Trillanes will go back to him harsh and hard.

If I were him, I would readily melt down my delusion and halt decisively my misguided and conceited ambition. But no, he didn’t have that bit of humility in his Machiavellian makeup. I know of someone from old who displayed the same characteristic of arrogance – the ancient Lucifer. His uncalled-for pride and vain greed for power made manifest when, before the angels of God he said, “I will rise above the stars, and become like the most high.” Unfortunately, that is when his irreparable downfall begins, along with those he swayed – the third portion of all the angels. But no. Trillanes is not a bit closer to Lucifer in aura and charm, and there’s no way even a quarter of the opposition will bet for someone who, because of his uncured recidivism, has become a politico that is unbelievably repulsive and nauseating.

Hay nako, Trililing.

Pray for the Peace in Jerusalem
My stand on this conflict is clear. I am for Israel. I have no word on the prophetical context that may be involved in the escalating violence that is happening now in Israel. If what is unfolding is prophetic, and what is going on now is critically part of the economy of God’s purpose of mankind’s redemption, then the least we could do is pray. Pray for peace in Jerusalem. The context of a prayer like that is and should be consistent in the purposes of God – for Israel and for the rest of the nations, including Palestine and Arabs. After all, the economy of God’s grace, his glorious plan of redemption are all-inclusive. The gospel of Jesus Christ is never just for Jews. That exclusive idea has long been resolved both by Jesus himself and his disciples. Even Paul the Apostle had to allot plenty of his time when he addressed the issue in his letters to fellow believers struggling over the ethnic matter. Hence, at the very onset of Christianity, the gospel of Jesus Christ has been and always for the gentiles and the rest of the world, as much as it is also for the Jews – God’s chosen people. So also our prayers!
