In the news: NEDA says hike in meat imports won’t kill country’s hog industry.

So, NEDA has now become mind readers. They can tell if hog raisers will risk capital and effort and swim against the current.

The last I heard, one technocrat in government suggested local raisers to just group together and simply import.

In the news. Digong lifts ban on new mining deals. In our country, there is another meaning of mining as an economic activity.

Decades back a first lady was said to be into mining. Anything of interest to her, she would proclaim, “That’s mine!”

Who do you think is the new miner? How about this small-big businessman in the south who has a very short family name?

Volunteer-doctors have joined hands to fill the gaps in government’s fight against Covid -19 virus.

These doctors have created a “don’t panic” medical advisory to guide those who are badly sick of the virus.

These doctors help man PGH free tele-medical consultations. Those seeking help may call 155-200 and 186 volunteer- doctors are then accessed.

If these numbers won’t work or always busy, the next thing to do is pray to not get listed in the .02 something percent of those sick that are hit severely.

Patient: Let’s have the bad news first.

Doctor: Lab results came in and it said you have 24 hours to live.

Patient: 24 hours! That’s indeed bad! Nothing can be worse. Now what’s the very bad?

Doctor: I’ve been trying to reach since yesterday.
