The Pharmally executive was cited in contempt and ordered to be arrested by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on September 10, for evading questions on that day's hearing on the government's alleged anomalous purchase of medical supplies for its pandemic response.

Pharmally Pharmaceuticals Corp. director Linconn Ong was detained in the Senate Tuesday (September 21) after being cited by the legislative body for being evasive on questions about the alleged anomalous deals committed by his company.

Ong has been placed under house arrest for almost two weeks after earlier contracting Covid-19.

The Pharmally executive was cited in contempt and ordered arrested by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on September 10, for evading questions on that day's hearing on the government's alleged anomalous purchase of medical supplies for its pandemic response.

Ong is the Pharmally official who allegedly delivered 500,000 face masks to the Department of Budget and Management's Procurement Service (PS-DBM) in March 2020, a month before the agency released a purchase order for these supplies.

Pharmally also delivered another two million face masks to the PS-DBM even before receiving purchase orders from the agency, as the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing found.
