Covid cases up by 43% from previous week

The health department reported 9,069 Covid cases from Nov. 7-13, 2022, and 113 deaths, of which 41 happened from Oct. 31 to Nov. 13.

The Department of Health (DOH) said 9,069 covid cases were reported from November 7-13, 2022.

In comparison to the previous week, the number is higher by 43 percent with an average of 1,296 daily cases and 113 deaths were recorded of which 41happened from October 31 to November 13, Business Mirror reported.

Hospital bed occupancy hit 21.3 percent or 524 beds out of the 2,465 ICU beds available to Covid patients as of November 13 while 5,363 of 20,825 non-ICU beds were occupied. There were 613 severe and critical admissions.

Over 73 million individuals or 94.29 percent of the target population have been vaccinated while 20 million have received their booster shots.
