The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) distributed a limited number of "Malasakit Help Kits" in several CAAP-operated airports on Sunday, Fathers' Day.

CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio said traveling fathers were given a handful of freebies on this special day.

Apolonio said that CAAP airports' Malasakit Help Desks welcomed traveling fathers with personal care products such as hand sanitizers, wet wipes, bottled water, biscuits and snacks.

He added that Malasakit Help Kit distribution is now ongoing at several CAAP-operated airports such as in Bicol International Airport, Laguindingan Airport, and Zamboanga Airport.

The CAAP said the initiative, spearheaded by Transportation Secretary Art Tugade, aims to show appreciation for passengers through tokens of gratitude that will make their travel more convenient and comfortable. The activity is done regularly during special occasions and holidays in the country.

"As we rise back up from everyday challenges, CAAP wants to make fathers feel extra special today and hopefully bring smiles to their faces through this thoughtful gesture," CAAP Director General Jim Sydiongco said.

The agency regularly provides kits to those in need and especially during flight disruptions to ensure passenger convenience.

The CAAP hopes that this small gesture of gratitude and appreciation will bring a measure of comfort and convenience to traveling fathers on their special day.
