One challenge for sustainable fashion is making it more affordable, fashion retailers have acknowledged.

H&M had just released its women’s spring 2021 collection, and the Swedish brand awed many.

It took a huge step towards its goal to use only recycled or sustainably sourced materials.

This new collection uses Agraloop Biofibre, a material that is made from agricultural waste from oilseed hemp production.

Additionally, another goal of the fashion retail giant was to be accessible for everyone. The challenge that sustainable fashion brings is the increase in price, which makes this goal difficult to cope with.

“We want to democratize sustainable fashion. We believe that sustainable fashion should be accessible and affordable for everyone,” says Dan Mejia, the Philippines’ head of communications and press for H&M.

The women’s spring 2021 collection is aesthetically pleasing because of its neutral color palette that includes beige, ecru, gray, and black. Truly timeless colors and pieces perfected with a sustainable twist.

The collection itself includes the Mindy organic linen short dress (P1690), the Beatriz hoodie made from Agraloop Biofibre (P899), the Primrose trench coat made from organic cotton and Agraloop Biofibre (P4490).

The collection will be available in select stores all over the Philippines and on H&M’s website. (EFO)
