Hallyu and K-pop culture is indeed taking the country by storm.
What more of the individual Korean pop groups like Blackpink, SHINee, BTS etc. and film and TY actors like Kim Hyun-joong, Sandara Park, Kim Woo-bin, Hyun Bin making waves in Laguna Province and elsewhere from Aparri to Tawi-Tawi.
Even music gurus in their prime are going gaga over Korean idols like Lagunense singer, Musikgarten Manila owner and manager and Board of Trustee of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Michelle Junia, better known as Nikki Junia in the Philippine popular culture.
Nikki doesn’t mind running after K-pop superstars because she wonders and believes in the commitment and discipline of each K-pop group that merit their global popularity.
Virtually, Junia romanced with a birthday cake with the Korean stars and BTS cut-out figures on top of its icing and loved it where a netizen-friend Ryan Endaya Yu commented
“Happy Birthday ulit! Ngiting tagumpay (again! Victorious smile) together with your Korean boyfriends” which the celebrator wittingly replied “korek! Happy na ako dyan (correct! I am already happy with that)!”
