IT was only last week that lovers Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo had announced that they were already officially engaged but the engagement did happen as early as the first week of October this year.
Dennis proposed marriage to Jennylyn right in the heart of their home. It was an emotional engagement as the fiancée cried a river because of excitement and gratitude in the ever loyal presence of her fiancé who really stood by her through thick and thin after she had been in failed relationships, for instance, with Patrick Garcia whom she has a son, Jazz, and of course, with former boyfriend Luis Manzano.
They were surely tears of joy for a woman who has been through a lot—from a broken heart, a broken limb as she was a battered child in the hands of her own kin when she was still very young to her romantic faux pas.
To document as well the marriage proposal, it was shot in a video but Jen and Dennis had reserved the footage to screen in proper time.
The couple, in deference to their home studio GMA Network, kept the video although they have their own YouTube Channel they could air the news anytime they wanted.
The exclusive footage was just at the backburner but later, it was shown simultaneously on Mercado and Trillo’s vlog and Channel 7’s “24 Oras” when entertainment broadcast journalist Nelson Canlas got the story direct from the horses’ mouths.
So, from Quezon City where GMA Network is and where Jen and Den reside, the exclusive engagement video was aired to all parts of the world including Laguna Province.
In the story, Jennylyn intimated that she was “positive”—on the family way for nine weeks already or at least two months since the on cam interview last week.
Their wedding is scheduled next year.
Meanwhile, the Jen-Den romance has been ongoing for the last eleven years although there was a respite when Jennylyn was Luis’ girlfriend.
When Jen and Lucky broke up, she and Dennis reconciled.
