Binan City police believes a 46-year-old man killed his live-in partner and two children before committing suicide inside his house in Barangay Canlalay.

AT least four people were found dead in what authorities believe is an incident of murder-suicide in Binan City, Laguna Tuesday afternoon (June 15).

Binan City police identified the victims as Johnny Martinez, 46 years old; Jolly Espinas, 41 years old and Martinez's live-in partner; and their two children, who were seven and one year old; all residents of 189 Bonifacio St., Barangay Canlalay in this city.

According to Binan City police, a neighbor, identified as Melissa Loza, discovered the bodies inside their house at around 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Martinez was found hanging at the stairway with blood in his hands, according to the police report.

Espinas and one of the minors are found with head injuries, while the two children have cloth facemasks stuffed inside their mouths.

A bloodied hammer was also found at the crime scene.

Witnesses reported to the police that prior to the incident, Martinez and his live-in partner were quarreling about certain financial difficulties.

They also heard a baby crying inside their house at around 11:00 the previous evening.

Scene of the crime operatives (SOCO) are now conducting an intensive investigation into the incident. (ONT)
