To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic franchise, Warner Bros. will release the ‘The Lord of the Rings' The Middle-Earth Ultimate Collector’s Edition this October.
This epic release will be in 4K, which is what The Lord of the Rings movies deserve.
This set includes theatrical and extended versions of all six remastered films from the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
There will be new bonus content, too.
In addition, the set also includes a 64-page booklet that showcases “a collection of costume sketches, photography and production notes” and seven travel poster art cards. The Lord of the Rings fanatics will definitely feel spoiled with this release.
The epic fantasy franchise is based on J.R.R. Tolkien's novels The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings are set in the mystical world of Middle-earth.
The former series followed Bilbo Baggins as he journeys in search of the treasure guarded by Smaug the dragon while the latter centers on Bilbo's cousin Frodo as he inherits the iconic One Ring and ventures with his Hobbit friends to destroy it in the volcano of Mount Doom to prevent the evil Lord Sauron from finally conquering the entire realm.
The Middle-earth Ultimate Collector’s Edition will be available on October 26, and it retails for $249.99 (P12,250).
