Brendon Urie announces the disbandment of Panic! At The Disco after 19 years in the music scene.

When it started 19 years ago, the local suburb Vegas band Panic! At The Disco, had only one remaining original member left-- Brendon Urie, who now announced that the band would "be no more" in a social media post on January 24.

“Well, it’s been a hell of a journey… Growing up in Vegas I could’ve never imagined where this life would take me. So many places all over the world, and all the friends we’ve made along the way,” Urie opened in a post shared on the band’s official social pages as reported by Rolling Stone.
“Sometimes a journey must end for a new one to begin.”

Formed in 2004, Urie is the only remaining original member of the P!ATD which initially had guitarist-songwriter Ryan Ross, and drummer Spencer Smith who all linked up when they were all in high school.

The band went on to take the world by a storm by producing hits after hits starting with their debut album, ‘Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’ in 2005 accompanied by one of the album’s singles and one of their greatest hits, ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies.’

However, after releasing their second album in 2008, Ross and bassist Jon Smith decided to quit, leaving the band with Urie, Smith and Dallon Weekes.

After two more album releases, Urie was left to look after the band, essentially running the show on stage and behind the scenes after both Smith and Dallon left, the Bulletin reported.

Urie still had faithful fans to support him and got through two more albums and one last European tour that will begin on Feb. 20 in Vienna and the final show which slated for March 10 in Manchester England is currently sold out.

In the statement, Urie cited that one of the reasons that led him to call it quits is the fact that he and his wife Sarah are expecting a baby very soon and the couple are very much looking forward to this new adventure.

“That said, I am going to bring this chapter of my life to an end and put my focus and energy on my family, and with that Panic! At The Disco will be no more.”

The frontman then went on to thank the band’s fans and everyone who stuck by them throughout the years.

“Thank you all for your immense support over the years. I’ve sat here trying to come up with the perfect way to say this and I truly can’t put into words how much it has meant to us. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or are just finding us, it has been a pleasure to not only share the stage with so many talented people but also share our time with you.”

Urie then ended the statement saying,

“I love you. I appreciate you. Thank you for existing.”
