After actress and Chair of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Liza Diño-Seguerra in her own words, was “booted out,” from a vacation house in Tagaytay City where she initially booked and paid for in advance only to find out there was already a family occupying it, revered colleague Sylvia Sanchez came to her rescue.

At the time Liza and company—that included her family and husband Ice Seguerrra—had nowhere to go to a sure and safe place, Sylvia offered her resort in Batangas.

“When a door closes, an entire ocean opens. Thank you nay Sylvia (Jojo Campo Atayde in real life), Ninong (Godfather) Art Atayde and the Atayde family for opening your home to us. May dagat na may (Seas and) boat ride pa. Love you!!!” exclaimed Liza in her social media posts.

According to Diño-Seguerra, the vacation house thatJohn Shammock occupied without reaching out to them much more apologize to her and her group was a blessing in disguise.

“Salamat po sa pagboot out sa amin dahil kung di dahil sa inyo, di kami mapapadpad dito (Thanks for booting us out because if not for you, we wouldn’t have reached this),” added Liza emphatically.

The booking of the Tagaytay vacation property was made through Agoda which has coordinated with Liza already.

“To Agoda, thank you for emailing us to arrange our refund kahit di nyo pa nakakausap ang (even if you haven’t talked to) property. Sa mga nagconnect samin sa Agoda, salamat sa inyo (To the people who connected us to Agoda, thank you).

“Sa lahat po nang nagmalasakit at nagbigay ng (To all who were concerned and gave us pieces of) advise, thank you! Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and may we all have a meaningful Holy Week!”

Liza, Ice and the whole Diño caboodle had enjoyed the better alternative.
