As a law abiding citizen worth her salt, Superstar Nora Aunor doesn’t act prima donna on and off-cam and is abiding health protocols.

"Superstar" Nora Aunor says she is strictly following health protocols in her latest film project

As a law abiding citizen, Superstar Nora Aunor doesn’t act prima donna on and off-cam although her role in her current film project “Kontrabida” is, well, that of a bitchy screen character.

As a protocol to all Filipinos regardless of status in life to mitigate the spread of the still raging new corona virus, Nora underwent swab test before she faced the movie cameras.

She and director Adolf Alix, Jr. recently went to the nearest clinic conducting COVID-19 lab check to ensure they were healthy and safe while working with colleagues.

Tested negative, Nora and Adolf proceeded to their respective roles as actress and filmmaker in the set where everyone was cleared of the disease. Once the director yelled “lights, camera, action,” Aunor gave her uninhibited top-class performance worthy of her status as a showbiz royalty.

Off-cam, though, Aunor was the ordinary showbiz human who wore her mask, face shield, applied disinfectants, sanitizers or alcohol and had observed physical or social distancing four days in a row within the production cast and crew circle.

Not only was she a joy and inspiration to behold by her producer, Joed Serrano, former “That’s Entertainment” mainstay of the late German Moreno, but the whole creative team as well.

Alix was again honored—the director-actress partnership is on its third teamwork which dated back in the 2016 films “Whistleblower” and “Padre de Familia—to have his main star the center of his another masterpiece.

“It is always a joy to work with an actress of your magnitude but with such humility and eagerness to embrace new things unexpected of your stature as an icon of Philippine Cinema. Your instinct to never shy away from risks makes you conquer new horizons.

“Thank you, Ate (a term of endearment to an older sister by blood or an older woman by affinity) Guy for embarking on this new journey to take a peek into the life of a KONTRABIDA,” said Adolf.
