HYBE and Universal Music Group are holding auditions for the newest global girl group until November 28.

South Korean entertainment mega-agency HYBE is joining forces with Universal Music Group for a first-of-its-kind venture. Calling it the HYBE x Geffen Global Girl Group Audition challenge.

These auditions aim to scout the most talented and oozing with potential artists from all around the globe.

The pairing will bring the two legendary organizations together to find, according to a statement, a "global, diverse, and multi-talented girl pop group made up of artists around the world who are deeply passionate about music and aspire to be the next global superstar."

HYBE is home for BTS the most famous boy group in the world.

This marks the first time a K-pop entertainment company and a U.S.-based record labels have joined forces to discover new artists.

HYBE America will be implementing a U.S. local training system that will mobilize the full capabilities of HYBE and UMG.

With the group’s debut, HYBE America will include their growth process and milestones that transcends national, cultural, and artistic boundaries.

According to their press release , “HYBE and UMG will collectively emphasize artist development through components such as music and performance training as well as life skills training, including mental wellness and music business and financial literacy, to lead a rewarding and sustaining career.”

Set to debut in Los Angeles, the new group will be created based on K-pop training and its development system, which combines music, performance, fashion, music videos and communications with fans.

Applications may be submitted on the official website of HYBE and Geffen auditions starting November 4 until November 28.

Interested applicants should be female and aged between 15 to 19 years old.

Skills required for auditions are singing, dancing, rapping and/or producing.

Each submission should include a one-minute video or music file of the applicant’s performance along with an upper body and full body frontal photo.
