After a two-year hiatus, K-Pop group EXO is ready to make a comeback with a new album in the works.

K-Pop group EXO is to make a comeback on June 7 after SM Entertainment has announced a special album on the works called “Don’t Fight The Feeling,” their first comeback since 2019.

After dropping the first teaser on May 11 at midnight KST (1:00 a.m. PST), SM Entertainment announced that online and offline pre-orders for the album have also begun.

EXO debuted as a 12-member group in 2012 and has since become a 9-piece group following the departure of Chinese members Luhan, Kris, and Tao.

Back in April, Xiumin, D.O., Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Kai, and Sehun posted a spoiler video titled “L-1485” hinting that EXO was preparing for an album in celebration for their ninth debut anniversary.

“For the first time in a while, all the members came together to film a music video. I’m so happy that I get to show even a little bit of it like this,” Kai said in the video.

This will be EXO’s first group comeback since the release of Obsession in November 2019.

However, several EXO members were active on making new content as soloists and in units while other members served in the military.

On May 6, photos of Baekhyun’ with his new buzz cut were revealed on EXO’s fan community on Lysn with member Sehun also in the post, fulfilling the group’s send-off tradition.

Prior to his enlistment, Baekhyun released his 3rd mini-album, Bambi, on March 30.

Baekhyun also shared a photo of himself on his Instagram. “D-1. I’ll go and return safely,” he wrote in the caption.

No other official details about the album have been released yet, but based on their “L-1485 spoiler,” however, it appears that the group have completed the production of album and music video before the deployment of Chanyeol and Baekhyun’s mandatory military service. (NP)
