The newest theme park of Disney World, The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Resort, has sold out its first 3 months of available booking dates.

DESPITE the massive price for the two-night experience that will cost a minimum of $1500 per person, Disney’s Star Wars Galactic Star Cruiser has sold out its first three months of booking starting from its opening date in March 2022.

The new Star Wars-themed hotel Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, coming to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, is now almost fully booked until mid-June of 2022 according to the Disney booking page for the hotel.

At time of writing, the months of March, April, and May are all officially sold out.

Though it might be important to point out that Star Wars hotel will be unlike any other Resort at the Florida Disney theme park destination.

The Galactic Starcruiser hotel will transport guests to a galaxy far, far away and take them on Star Wars adventures beyond their wildest imaginations.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel will provide an immersive experience for guests in the Halcyon star cruiser.

Most fans have noticed the high pricing for the hotel, which starts from $4,809 USD for a two-night stay in a standard cabin including food, drinks and activities such as lightsaber training, bridge crew training and a trip to Batuu.

It will also put guests in the center of an interactive adventure that they control.

Think of this as a hybrid between a live action role playing game and the all-inclusive resort hands-on ‘enrichment through entertainment’ experience of the Disney Institute.

While Disney has tested similar concepts before, this is envelope-pushing in terms of its scope and level of immersion.

Likewise, guests will become citizens of the galaxy immediately upon entry.

First stop is to check-in at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal. Guests will then enter a Launch Pod which will bring them straight into space where they will dock at the Starcruiser, theHalcyon of the Chandrila Star Line, known for its fleet of glamourous star cruisers of which the Halcyon is the jewel.

In the short term, the Galactic Starcruiser certainly looks like a win even at its luxurious price point.

But in the end it will all come down to the experience.

Nobody has actually done this yet, so it’s far from clear how well it will actually work.

If it is a success, if people really do love it, then there will likely be even less difficulty filling the rooms in a few months than there is now.
