Pinoy talent Iñigo Pascual is set to make his Hollywood debut as an orphan in a family of “stars” in the newest Fox musical drama “Monarch.”
EVEN with the pandemic still raging in the country, Filipino actors are still succeeding in showcasing their acting prowess locally and internationally among them Iñigo Pascual, who is set to debut in Hollywood for Fox’s musical drama “Monarch.”
In the new series, Pascual will be playing the role of an 18-year old Filipino Ace Grayson. He will be portraying an orphan with a dream of being a country star like his Grandpa Albie, but in spite of being part of a golden family, his path to success has some challenges.
The newly turned 23-year old could not hide his excitement for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
On his Instagram account Pascual excitedly shared the news with his fans, "The news is out!!! Craziest birthday. Sorry for keeping it for so long!!"
Created by Melissa London Hilfers, “Monarch” is a multigenerational musical drama about America’s first family of country music, the Romans.
The Romans are headed by the insanely talented, but tough as nails Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrell Roman, played by the legendary Susan Sarandon who starred in “Thelma & Louise” and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”
Along with her beloved husband, Albie (Trace Adkins), Dottie has created a country music dynasty.
But even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie.
And when their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown Nicolette “Nicky” Roman (Anna Friel) will stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom.
Though this will be his Hollywood debut, Pascual most recently made a cameo in Netflix’s Jo Koy: In His Elements. Jo Koy is a Filipino-American stand-up comedian who is a global phenomenon.
Pascual is currently signed with Authentic Talent & Literary Management, Cornerstone Entertainment and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.
His last project in the Philippines was his sophomore album, Options, which was released last June.
“Monarch” will premiere on January 30, 2022, according to Fox Entertainment.
