Even with a small footage that leaked online on TikTok, the official trailer still had more than a few surprises, including the return of Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin.

IT looked like the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ trailer found its way to social media ahead of its trailer premiere.

Just 24 hours ago, the leaked version of the trailer for ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has taken the social media by storm.

Today, Sony Pictures has released the first official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated movie.

A leaked portion of the trailer confirms several of the rumors, picking up where Spider-Man: Far from Home and ultimately ending with Dr. Otto Octavius, better known as Doctor Octopus, played by Alfred Molina saying, “Hello, Peter.”

Sony and Marvel revealed the first official look at Tom Holland's third Spider-Man movie, dropping the first trailer during Sony's CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas last night.

Even with a small footage that leaked online on TikTok, the official trailer still had more than a few surprises, including the return of Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin.

Here’s how Sony Pictures described the trailer on its premiere.

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”

The trailer also confirms the multiverse plot of “No Way Home,” which will bring Holland together with villains of previous Spider-Man cinematic franchises.

This includes Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. In the most recent Spider-Man sequel, Parker’s true identity was exposed over the film’s final moments.

The third film from the franchise follows on directly from the mid-credits scene in the last movie, Far From Home, which was released in 2019. Peter Parker is dealing with the fallout of being exposed as Spider-Man and, well, there is just a whole lot going on with that.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to be released on December 17.

The cast will include returning stars such as Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, and John Favreau.
