In a spur of the moment, singer and member of the Board of Trustees of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Michelle Junia—better known in the arts circuit as Nikki Junia—had thought of a Halloween motif to go with her and kith and kin’s observance of the tradition.

The whole Junia caboodle went off the idyllic and serene Batangas on a weekend to spend the occasion and eventually memorializing thoughts on saints and dearly departed.

An improvised spooky props like cardboard coffin with a paper cross perched on it, drapes of tangerine crepe paper cutouts flowing on white and black round panel symbolic of eerie atmosphere while pumpkin favors were strewn all over for treat or trick games where stuffs were as scary yet the fun Halloween was on the roll.

Still, some Hollywood horror-inspired or Hallyu-influenced costumes in the tradition of Squid Game were donned by Nikki and her loved ones.

The creepy sets in the house by the sea were props of filial connection as well of camaraderie and bonding by Halloween participants
