It is still the royal fight between ABS-CBN and GMA Network.

This time it is in the live entertainment award arena.

The screening committee of the Aliw Awards Foundation has nominated two of the respective protégées of the giant telecommunications stations in the forthcoming 33rd Aliw Awards.

Zephanie Dimaranan, grand winner of ABS-CBN’s “Idol Philippines” in 2019 and Golden Cañedo, champion of GMA Network’s “The Clash” in 2018 are nominated and competing for the Best Female Performance in a Concert.

As a matter of fact, they are the only nominees in the category.

Also For Best New Artist

Meanwhile, Zephanie and Golden also vie for the Best New Artist plum against Christian Biando, Michael Pacquiao, Mara Aragon, Jasmine Henry, Angelika de Guzman, Jeremiah Tiangco, and Nicole Angela Sy.

According to Doods Jimenez, the media liaison of the awards body, the coverage of performance is from November 1, 2019 to October 31, 2020.

The winners will be announced on its virtual awards night on December 8, 2020 at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel because of the current COVID-19 pandemic situation of the country.

Doods assures all can watch the performances even at the comfort of their homes.
