Service to the people is just as important as her personal life to actress Angel Locsin.
In extreme cases, though, she could sacrifice selfish motives to altruism.
Amidst the recent attacks of natural disasters in the Philippines, two of them diseases and weather calamities, Angel and fiancé Neil Arce chose to postpone their plans of tying the knot.
The height of succor to the victims of super typhoon Rolly (international name Goni) was Angel and Neil’s wedding date but the couple just celebrated their recollection of the aborted cherished day.
“So, we were supposed to get married today Nov 8, 2020. How about you guys? Did you have plans this year that got moved?” Angel posted in her social media spaces.
Instead to wallowing in misgivings, Angel went on her daily life but excited as well on another wedding schedule. “Can’t wait a few more months,” she matter-of-factly shared.
At the height of the new coronavirus emergency in the country when Locsin and Neil were busy attending to victims of COVID-19 pandemic and donating and distributing health safety nets to hospital, barangays and health centers to mitigate the spread of the pathogen, the lovers had conveniently postponed their grand wedding slated this year.
Instead of pursuing a great event which they said could accommodate kith and kin including colleagues in and out of show business they opted to deviate from the usual lavish prep and devoted their time and effort in helping COVID-infected and other people exposed to the virus.
Donate To Red Cross
No wedding yet in the emergence of typhoons Rolly and Ulysses when Angel herself took to the support side when he encouraged fellowmen to donate to the Philippine Red Cross for the agency’s socio-civic activities.
“My heart bleeds for those heavily affected by these typhoons #Rolly and #Ulysses. Praying that you, your loved ones, and colleagues are safe and secure. Our resilience will always be greater than any calamity! Alagaan natin ang isa’t isa. Keep safemga kababayan ko (Let’s take care of each other, my countrymen),” she appealed.
Meanwhile, Angel is personally extending her birthday wishes today to her dear friend, Dimples Romano.
“My super mars,” said Locsin. “The actress, Loving mom & wife, humanitarian, dancer, entrepreneur, producer, vlogger, chef, beauty queen, scholar, best friend—now, SINGER & SONGWRITER na rin!”
Angel is confident about Dimple’s capabilities as a person and as an artist to go with her natal day.
“Ano pa ba ang hindi kakayanin ng kaibigan ko?” she declared. “Always proud of you, mars. Always here to support and cheer you.”
As a matter of fact, Angel is moving heaven and earth for a wonderful celebration of Dimples even promoting her music “Hawak ko ang Kamay Mo.”
“Please listen to her beautiful song and please watch out for her touching music video.”
