Don’t look now but Michael V. has been consistently displaying his innate talent of being a protean performer.
He’s known to be a comedian but he has also shown his dramatic penchant when he made the film “Family History” for GMA Pictures in 2019 not only as an actor but as a director as well.
And now he’s into a new territory — interpretative literary performance.
Online Art Show
Michael is slated to perform in the online art show “Awit at Tula: Pagbabalik-tanaw sa Unang Hari ng Balagtasan Jose Corazon de Jesus,” a component of the project “Sining Sigla” spearheaded by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) President Arsenio J. Lizaso, also known as Nick Lizaso, a stage, film and television actor, director, writer and producer.
“Yes, si Michael V., magpi-perform sa tribute kay Jose Corazon de Jesus,” informed Nick in an online interview.
Michael, Beethoven Michael del Valle Bonagan in real life, will interpret the literary creations of Jose Corazon de Jesus, a celebrated literary figure in the Philippines who is also better known as Huseng Batute.
The cyberspace video presentation on the homage to de Jesus will happen this November on CCP President and CCP Facebook pages.
