Brig. Gen. Bernabe Balba, director of Police Regional Office Eastern Visayas, congratulated the new officers for passing the initial but rigorous recruitment process.

“You have overcome an incredible obstacle on your journey to becoming police officers, and keep this in mind that being such is not just a mere job, but rather, it is a title with responsibility, passion and dedication.”

Balba added the rookie cops must always adhere to the three basic Filipino values which are “malinis, magalang at maaasahan.”

Rigorous Process

Out of the 1,305 applicants who underwent the face-to-face interview for the first cycle of current year 2020 regular recruitment program, only 234 successfully passed the rigorous process composed of 196 and 38 male and female recruits.
