The local government of Pasig City will reduce its infrastructure spending to allot more funds for health and social services under Pasig’s proposed 2020 budget.
Mayor Vico Sotto submitted the proposed budget ordinance to the city council and announced that his administration will focus more on health and welfare of its locals.
“Sa tulong ng Sanggunian, maipapatupad natin ang mga prayoridad nating programa sa SERBISYONG PANGKALUSUGAN at SOCIAL SERVICES sa hinaharap na taon. Ito na po yung malawakang pagbabago na pinaguusapan lang natin dati,” he said.
Sotto, during the campaign season for the 2019 elections, vowed that he will ease the spending on infrastructre if he wins since such projects are a source of corruption.
Meanwhile , Sotto expressed his gratitude to the city council, led by Vice Mayor Iyo Bernardo, for joining him in his advocacy to improve the lives of Pasig residents by giving them better access to social services.
