Laguna farmers join swine farming activity grad

A total of 125 farmers from five towns of Laguna participated in the Mass Graduation of Farmer’s Field School on Sustainable Pig Farming (FFS-SPF) in Santa Cruz on November 28.

Farmers from Nagcarlan, Magdalena, Calauan, Bay and Los Bañostook part in the activity held in Cultural Center of Laguna that aims to increase the income of animal raisers in the province.

FFS-SPF is spearheaded by the Provincial Veterinary initiated by Dr. Mary Grace Bustamante with the support of the Provincial Government headed by Governor Ramil Hernandez.

FFS-SPF, which runs for 16 to 20 weeks, is an improved technology and extension modality that provides an alternative sustainable and affordable swine raising technology for commercial and backyard swine farmers in the region.
